Buckhead Heritage Gala

Where better to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Buckhead’s establishment than at The Buckhead Theatre.  A pastiche of Henry Irby’s 1830s General Store, around which Buckhead originally developed, provided a fun backdrop for photos when guests arrived.  The front bar was transformed into a rustic trading post, with whiskey barrels, old oil lanterns and miniature Conestoga wagons used around the space.  The upstairs bar was decorated in turn of the century Art Deco style – large sun-ray styled backdrops gave an instant feel of the era, with ostrich feather centerpieces and red table lamps adding the simple but elegant finishing touches.  Back on the main floor, the buffet comprised six different food stations, representing Atlanta’s finest and best restaurant groups and caterers.  Finally, the auditorium played host to a fabulous eight-piece band where dancing and merriment saw the party into the wee small hours.
