Gingerbread House – part 1

This weekend, we did the same party in two parts – once on Friday afternoon for a group of Sixth Graders, then again on Saturday night for the adults!  The kids were having a gingerbread cookie decorating party plus a bunch of festive games.  We cleared the main living space and set up tables for lunch and the cookie decorating.  Using candy-colored honeycomb garlands, we created a pretty backdrop for photos.  Riff Raff, dressed up as the Pastry Chef, was flanked by two gorgeous pink cashmere trees.  The tables were dressed in candy pink pin tuck taffeta linens then scattered with candy canes and giant-sized sweeties.  Across the ceiling, we hung honeycomb and balloon garlands which gave the room a lovely festive feel!  Stay tuned to see how we transformed this for the adults’ party the following night…
