Katherine Tolliday was born in England and grew up on a farm in the Kent countryside. After graduating with a degree in Business Studies, the bright lights of city life beckoned – she moved to London and went on to study here and qualify as a Corporate Secretary. After a decade in the city’s financial district, and seeking expression for her artistic talents alongside her organizational skills, she went back to school and graduated from a Chelsea design school as an award-winning interior designer.
Her husband’s work brought them and their two children to Atlanta in 2006 and it is here that Katherine has focused her accumulated skill set on event planning. She is able to use her very particular blend of organizational, logistical and commercial skills and experience together with her creative eye for design, décor, detail and use of space to create some truly inspired and memorable events.
Katherine’s inspirations come from many sources and often at unexpected moments – colors, textures, stories, images, even a fleeting glance of something is enough! She has a camera always at hand to capture ideas and inspirations, storing them away until she brings them to life in a future event.
Katherine loves to help people pull together a vision of the event they want to create, even if starting from the vaguest of ideas, and then to use her knowledge and skill to make the idea a stunning reality.
