Zachary’s Zone

From the invitations to the final delivery, this event had “Z” written all over it!  Zachary is a kid who loves to be active, so the bowling and gaming facilities at Emory Conference Center offered the perfect venue for his Mitzvah celebration.  For the kids, the evening started in the bowling alley – with billiards, Wii and shuffleboard also on offer they had plenty to keep them busy.  Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed cocktails and appetizers in the Starvine Foyer before moving into the ballroom where a seated dinner was served.  After dinner, the kids joined the adults in the ballroom where we handed out “In the Zone” foam fingers and everyone formed a bustling welcome party for the guests of honor.  To chanting and foam-finger-waving, Zachary and his family made their grand entrances!  After high energy introductions by DJ Ayce and his crew from Atlanta Fever, everyone enjoyed a photo montage followed by the hora dance.  For dessert, we created the “Snack Zone” – an area especially for the kids with café chairs and stools for them to hang out on and, the main feature, a concession stand serving ice cream and candy!  And, for the willing, Fair Hair Party created amazing and fun hair makeovers for the girls and even some of the boys…!  In the decor, we used the “Z” logo wherever possible, creating very cool centerpieces in the ballroom with etched acrylic plaques set into astroturf, projecting the logo onto the wall for added impact.  The tables were overlaid with blue taffeta linens and we layered the look with blue foil chargers.  Around the room, we created columns of light using alternating green and blue uplighters.  We used mini foam fingers to create cute escort cards for the adults, and custom pennant flags and the foam fingers for centerpieces in the bowling alley and foyer areas.  The dance motivators kept the dance floor packed, teaching even some of the more mature guests the latest dance moves.  Young and old, a fun time was had by all and the party was a true celebration of Zachary’s momentous day!
